DeShedding of the undercoat can be done at any time on a pet with a completely dry coat, but for best results it is recommended to do it immediately after washing. The extensive line of fur care products from the FURminator® brand is designed to promote healthy skin and coat in pets and to significantly reduce the amount of hair in the house when used regularly.
Examine your pet's entire body before using the undercoat deShedding Tool. Watch for wounds, bruises and skin conditions that are hidden under your pet's fur. If your pet is bothered by these, see the vet before brushing. You should also remove tangles and felt spots with the FURminator® De-felting Comb or Fur Rake before using the deShedding Tool for the undercoat used.
Step 3:
You use d e deShedding Tool for the undercoat just like a brush. Brush your pet in the direction of hair growth, tilting the stainless steel teeth toward the coat. Start at your pet's head and work your way back. Take special care on the abdomen, paws, genitals and buttocks. Don't brush too much in one place, but brush away from your pet's skin in long, gentle strokes. Although the Skinguard design ensures that the deShedding Undercoat tool does not get stuck but glides over the skin, brushing too hard or too rough can still irritate the skin. So do not press too hard when brushing. Stop if you notice that the skin becomes red or irritated.
Step 4:
The collected hairs can be from the teeth by pressing the FURejector® button.
