Anti-trachea mite (50ml)

When a bird makes a squeaking sound or gasps for air, we call this a trachea mite. Actually, the bird suffers from mucus and bacteria on the airways. If left untreated, it will only get worse. Eventually, the bird will die from suffocation. With 2-3 days 1 drop in the neck or 3-4 days 1 ml on 1 liter of drinking water you help the bird from this.

How does the infestation with mites take place:
Birds can carry the mite for a long time without being sick. In this way the mite can enter a bird population unnoticed. Infection of other birds takes place because young mites from the nasal cavity, directly, via drinking water or via feeding by the parents, transfer to other birds.
External conditions such as too high / low humidity and temperature, feed or environmental change, stress can make the illness suddenly acute. From becoming infected with the mite it can take weeks or even months before the symptoms appear.

How to recognize trachea mites;
The bird is usually a bit round and quiet, often has a slightly open beak, which is directed upwards, often rubs the beak over the stick, then shakes his head briefly, as if to squeeze something out of his throat and makes a short sneeze. When you catch it and hold it to your ear, you hear a wheezing, raspy breath. The birds lose their voice. Songbirds can even remain hoarse for up to six months after the condition has been treated.

It is therefore very important to recognize and treat the infestation of birds with this mite as soon as possible. If it is recognized (too) late, this can have serious consequences.
When trachea mites are found in the Aviary, all birds should be treated.

Anti-tracheal mites are packaged in 50ML bottles with dosing dropper, so that the dosage can be dosed very easily and without product loss.
