Anti-plucking flakes, the solution against feather plucking!
Anti-pick flakes
After years of research, we have finally found a solution for plucking feathers from birds. Our test results show that 90% of birds stop plucking feathers when fed daily anti-plucking flakes for 3 months.
Explanation:
Feather plucking often occurs due to stress. For example, moving birds, partner dies, etc. Due to this stress, birds have an increased consumption of beta-keratin. This special protein is only found in birds and reptiles. This beta-keratin is hardly in the diet. All beta-keratin they get through food is used to build feathers and skin. Because the feathers are full of beta-keratin, they eat it. We call this plucking, or rather eating feathers. Birds use this to supplement their beta-keratin deficiency. The feathers then grow back and are eaten again. This way the birds stay in a spiral of beta-keratin deficiency, eat feathers, etc.
We have been looking for pure beta-keratin, which is available. We have fed the birds this, but they need additives to process the beta-keratin in their body.
The anti-plucking flakes contain this beta-keratin and the auxiliary substances to be able to process it in the bird's body. Birds that were not bothered by plucking and that are fed these flakes show a nicer feathering. The anti-plucking flakes can be mixed with the egg food. If you do not provide egg food daily, the flakes can be mixed with grated carrot and/or apple.
Dosage: For the birds that are very picky, mix 20 grams per day with egg food. For maintenance 200 grams on a kilo of egg food. The latter also persist if the birds eat little.
Shelf life: when stored dry unlimited.
Long term use: Best results are achieved by continuing to give it daily.
